Little acorns.

Sometimes, it is funny just how ideas come about, and how one simple thing, can easily lead to another. A year ago we had an Ayinger font fitted at the shop, we took this as an opportunity to refurbish the cellar. Once the job was done, we found ourselves in possession of a spare remote cooler. I cleaned it up and stowed it away, it would be useful in an emergency as a back-up. I though little more about it.

Spring has sprung!

At the beginning of April, Gina and I began to think about possible events for the year ahead. The spare chiller caused me to think about hosting a Beer Festival, after all, we already had cask stillage in the cellar. The idea was simple enough, rather than just buy, any old beer from any brewery, we would approach brewers that I had worked with in the past.

I spoke to ex Firkin brewers Eddie Gadd, (Ramsgate Brewery.) Steve Lawson ( Volden Brewery.) and ex Freeminer Brewery Don Burgess, now at Cotswold Lion Brewery.

Gina contacted her friends at, Kernel, Tap-East and Tynt Meadow. Everyone was excited to be involved and a plan was formed.

As always, not everything has quite worked out as intended, however, the good news is that there are already discussions in place for `Plan B.` a Dark Winter Ales event.

Timings and suchlike!

Pouring will commence at 16.00 on Tuesday the 25th of August.

Cheers Chums!
