Sausage Roll Bake-off Winners 2023

Yesterday afternoon saw Bottle & Board host the inaugural Sausage roll bake-off.

I would like to thank everyone who attended our event, including our panel of esteemed judges, Gina Baines, Pat Juggings and Bob Caracciolo, who over the course of the afternoon`s judging made a very difficult task, appear to look easy.

In all, 15 brave baker`s presented their Perfectly,Prepared,Peppery, Pork Parcels for assessment. We felt that this was a pretty good turn-out for the first year, so a big thank-you to everyone for making an effort.

The judges informed me that the standard was fantastically high, and in reality there were no real duds. However, prizes had to be awarded, and so the top three podiun places were announced. Third place was awarded to Sarah Sharman who was far too modest to be photographed accepting her prize. Second place went too Daryl Williams and Jodie was crowned the Bake-offs overall Champion.

It seemed that a great time was had by all, and once the prizes had been awarded, both contestants and spectators were happy to sample all of the bakers entries.

We look forward to seeing all of you next year for round two.
