Sausage Roll Celebrations!

Featuring news of a brand new sponsorship deal for this year`s Bake-off, and a splendid bespoke trophy, created and donated by a mystery benefactor!

Celebrations indeed! Yesterday, Gina took a trip to London in her capacity as, ethoscoaching*. Upon her return she was laden down with all manner of good things from Borough Market, including a brace of superb sausage rolls from The Ginger Pig. Anyone, who knows anything about sausage rolls will know that the sausage rolls served hot from the oven by The Ginger Pig, at Borough Market, are the benchmark by which all others are measured.

Industry recognition!

While Gina was away, I took in a delivery from Sierra Nevada, a consignment of this year's fresh hop IPA. And whilst this was cause for celebration in itself, there was more good news to come.

Having monitored Peterborough`s premier sausage roll bake-off for the last two years, we are now delighted to announce that this year`s competition will be sponsored by specialist beer wholesaler James Clay. This brand new sponsorship agreement, will see James Clay`s generous donation of First, Second & Third prize. Bottle & Board would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their patronage.

The good news continues!

Gina was recently approached by a local artist who has expressed an interest in designing and creating a bespoke trophy for the winner of this year`s competition.

At this stage the details must be kept under wraps, and the trophy itself is being stored in a high security safety deposit locker at a secure location. Please come along to the Bake-off on Sunday the 21st of December for the grand presentation and the big reveal!

After such an exciting day, we were in the mood for celebrating! Sausage-rolls were placed in the oven, and Sierra Nevada Celebrations were cooled in the fridge.
